DESERT ELITE COLLEGE PREP ACADEMY
Welcome to our College Portal !

Overview
The Desert Elite College Prep Academy (DECPA) is designed for high school athletes in the U14-U18 age groups that are seriously interested in playing soccer at the collegiate level.  The program is devoted to preparing these players both on and off the field so that they will be able to show their skills to prospective coaches, as well as, be ready for the new challenges playing in college will bring.

On the field, we train our players to bring their games up to the pace necessary to play at the highest levels of competition.  The emphasis is not only on basic soccer skills but includes training and conditioning.  Off the field, we stress academic performance, sportsmanship and attitude.  Guidance counseling is also available for resume preparation, questions regarding testing requirements, and selection of appropriate schools.

Preparing to play soccer after the club experience can be both intimidating and overwhelming.  However, the DECPA is meant to simplify the experience and guide a player and their family through the process.

The following is a summary of each element that comprises the DECPA program.:

College Resource Center (CRC)The CRC provides a host of reference materials to educate both players and families on playing soccer at the collegiate level.

Academic Preparatory Program (APP) - Various speakers will be coordinated through the program to discuss experiences and provide opportunities to ask questions.  Speakers may include college players, college coaches, and experts on such topics as sports psychology and player preparation.

Player Checklist (PCL) – The PCL is a step-by-step process of key events, which a player should consider. The recommendations provided are sequenced throughout the player’s high school years (U15-U18) to maximize effectiveness.
